She’s a Viper

She’s a viper
But I like her
Her warmth and her taste and her tongue

She’s a bullet
Please don’t shoot that
I’d like to be able to walk

She’s a nomad
Worked for Norad
Pushing buttons deep down under the ground

She’s got farmland
Lots of farmhands
All them blankets been moving around

But if I we’re a betting man I’d say this to you
She could weather the roughest of seas
She could stare down the white squall
And tear down these four walls
As a woman, unfettered, and free

She’s a quiver
Full of arrows
She will shoot them straight up to the sky

She’s a mirror
But don’t fear her
Got a heart that’s a thousand miles wide

Can’t say I’ve studied the world around me
But I know that sometimes it is bright
And times that it’s darker but
Don’t kill the barker ’cause
He’s selling things you don’t like

But if I we’re a betting man I’d say it again
She could weather the roughest of seas
She could stare down the white squall
And bust through these four walls
As a human, unfettered, and free
